This Privacy Policy explains how ERA Cards LLC ("ERA Cards," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit era.cards (the "Site") or submit information to us. Please read it carefully.
1. Who We Are
ERA Cards LLC is a boutique dealer that buys, sells, trades, and consigns collectible trading cards. We are based in Florida, United States. You can reach us at admin@era-cards.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and operate the Site.
Information you give us
When you complete our intake form or contact us, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, mailing or shipping details if you provide them, descriptions of cards or collections, grading or certificate information, asking prices or estimated values, photographs of your cards or collections, and any notes or messages you send.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, and general usage data.
Specifically, the Site runs on a managed hosting platform and uses Supabase for its database, accounts and file storage; Stripe for card checkout; and first-party storage (cookies and browser local storage) to keep you signed in and remember your cart, wishlist and preferences. Page views and form submissions are recorded in our own database so we can see which pages lead to inquiries. We do not run third-party advertising pixels, and we do not sell this data.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, and we ask that you not send it to us. We do not collect payment card numbers through this Site; the Site does not process payments.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to review the cards, collections, or requests you submit; to contact you and respond about your submission or inquiry; to evaluate, negotiate, and carry out potential purchases, sales, trades, or consignments; to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site; to prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse; and to comply with applicable law.
4. Photographs and Card Images
Intake photographs you submit
Photographs you submit through the intake form for evaluation are stored in private, access-restricted storage and are not made publicly browsable through the Site. We do not publish the intake photographs you submit for evaluation unless you enter into a transaction with us involving those items or you otherwise authorize it.
Cards we acquire or handle
Separately from any photographs you submit, once ERA Cards purchases, accepts on consignment, takes in trade, or otherwise takes possession of a card or collection, ERA Cards may photograph, reproduce, and publicly display images of those items — including on the Site, on social media, and in marketing — as part of promoting, offering, selling, or documenting them. This right arises from our ownership or possession of the physical items and does not depend on any photograph you submitted. If you wish to request that a specific item you transact with us not be photographed or displayed, tell us in writing before the transaction and we will work with you.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows: with service providers who help us operate the Site and our business — such as website hosting, database and file storage, and email delivery providers — who are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us; in connection with a potential or actual sale, merger, financing, or transfer of our business or assets; when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of ERA Cards, our customers, or others; and with your direction or consent.
6. Third-Party Services and Links
The Site relies on third-party providers to function and may link to third-party sites such as Instagram. Those third parties handle information under their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review the policies of any third-party service you use.
7. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to respond to you, to carry out or document transactions, to operate our business, and to comply with legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations, after which we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. Retention periods vary depending on the nature of the information and our obligations.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures designed to protect the information we hold, including restricting access to submitted photographs and data. However, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. 9. Your Choices
You may choose not to provide information, though this may limit our ability to respond to or transact with you. You may ask us to update, correct, or delete information you have submitted by emailing admin@era-cards.com, and we will respond consistent with applicable law and our legitimate business and legal recordkeeping needs.
10. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to know what personal information we hold about you, to request access, correction, or deletion, and to opt out of certain processing. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any applicable right, email admin@era-cards.com. We will verify your request as required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Some information may be retained where the law permits, including for legal, security, and recordkeeping purposes.
11. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us at admin@era-cards.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it. Separately, submissions and transactions through the Site are intended to be made by adults; if you are a minor, you should use the Site and submit information only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
12. International Visitors
The Site is operated in the United States and intended for U.S. users. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.
