Same iconic art, far larger print run. Still a strong five-figure-class card in PSA 10 but a fraction of 1st Edition.
Modern Charizard (Hidden Fates, Champion's Path, Evolving Skies alt art)
PSA 10 is common on most modern prints, so the premium comes from the specific chase card rather than the grade.
Japanese printings
Often cheaper to acquire in PSA 10 than English equivalents, with a tighter collector pool but strong demand on key promos.

Population report
Look up how many PSA 10s exist for your exact card. A card with 60 gem copies behaves nothing like one with 12,000, even at identical grades.
Recent verified sales, not asking prices
Listings show what people hope to get. Use closed, verified sales from the last 30–90 days as the only honest baseline.
Eye appeal within the grade
Two PSA 10s are not equal. Centering, print lines and holo gloss can create a real spread between otherwise identical slabs.
Market timing
Set anniversaries, nostalgia cycles and big reveals move Charizard harder than almost any other card. Selling into a spike matters.
